This recipe was originally adapted from a
frozen lemonade pie recipe. It's my go to dessert. It's inexpensive, super easy to make and delicious. The lemonade version is my personal favorite, but it's also great with limeade, pink lemonade and pina colada mix.
I like to garnish with raspberries when making the lemonade version. It's tasty, beautiful and impressive!
Ingredients:
1 graham cracker pie crust (I buy the extra large)
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk, chilled
12oz cool whip, thawed
6oz frozen concentrate, keep frozen or at least very cold
In a bowl, add chilled sweetened condensed milk and cool whip. Fold gently, then add frozen concentrate and continue to gently fold. Don't let it become soupy! Pour batter into the pie crust and freeze overnight.
Pay special attention to the ounces while adding the lemonade concentrate. Anything over 6 ounces can get very tart. I added the entire can (10oz) of frozen pina colada mix. It's best to taste it as you're mixing in order to suite your taste.
Enjoy!
3 people were nice enough to say...:
YUM! Thanks for the recipe! I just printed it out and will make it for tomorrow. YOU ROCK! :o) Just in time.
I make this a lot... I love it! I like to use the pink lemonade, the pina colada is a great idea- I will have to try that!
Oooh, sounds good. I'll have to try this one!
